Oximeter, as the name suggests, refers to the instrument for measuring blood oxygen. Patients with hypoxia should use the oximeter for a long time to detect blood oxygen content, which can effectively prevent dangerous occurrence. If there is hypoxia, supplement oxygen at the first time to greatly reduce the chance of disease attack. The first blood oxygen saturation meter was developed by Millikan in the 1940s. It monitors the ratio of hemoglobin with oxygen to hemoglobin without oxygen in the artery. A typical oximeter has two LEDs. These two LEDs face the patient's part to be tested  
 
Usually fingertips or earlobes. One diode emits a beam with a wavelength of 660 nm, and the other emits 905910 or 940 nm. The absorptivity of oxygenated hemoglobin to these two wavelengths is very different from that without oxygen. Using this property, the ratio of two kinds of hemoglobin can be calculated. The test process usually does not require blood from the patient. The usual oximeter can also display the patient's pulse.  
In fact, the operation of the oximeter is not complicated. The usage of the oximeter should be noted as follows:  
1. When using the finger oximeter for the first time, press the reset key first, and the LCD screen will display the standby state.  
2. Then press to open the clamping opening. Put the middle finger of your left hand or right hand into the work bin. At this time, you can see the infrared light in the work bin. You should pay attention to: your fingers should not be crooked, your hands should not be wet, and there should be no foreign matter on the surface of your fingernails.  
3. After the finger is in full contact with the working chamber, the LCD displays the detection process. When entering the detection state, pay attention to keep the tested fingers stable and do not shake up, down, left and right.
